This handmade shawl was designed and produced with acrylic fiber by a Mexican community located in Pátzcuaro, Michoacán.
This curious pattern reflects the "white fish", an endemic and endangered species, symbol of the Purépecha culture. It also represents one of the most emblematic dish served on the Day of the Dead.
